The First-episode and Early Psychosis Program (FEPP) at MGH has been a leader in the field since 2002. FEPP staff work as a team to offer state-of-the-art medical and psychological evaluation, medication treatment, education and family support, and cognitive behavioral therapy.

 
 

Eligibility

Age: 13-35 years old
Diagnosis: Developed a non-affective psychotic illness within the last 3 years.

Primary Care: The FEPP program does not require clients to have a Primary Care Physician (PCP) at MGH to begin treatment.

  • Psychiatric assessment

  • Neuropsychological assessment

  • Psychopharmacology

  • Individual therapy

  • Cognitive Behavior Therapy

  • Family Based Treatment

  • Group Therapy

  • Case Management

  • Wellness management

  • Employment and education support

  • Peer Support Specialist

  • Coordination with MGH Addiction Recovery Management Services (ARMS)

  • Second Opinion service (secondary consultation with multidisciplinary team)

 

Cost

Accepts Medicare, Massachusetts Medicaid, many private insurances, and managed care plans.
