Training & Referral Resources

Massachusetts Psychosis Access & Triage Hub (M-PATH)

M-PATH is a free referral and consultation service available to anyone concerned about early psychosis for themselves, their loved one, or their client. M-PATH provides consultation to professionals working with youth and young adults who they suspect may be experiencing symptoms of psychosis. This includes, but is not limited to, psychologists, social workers, psychiatrists, pediatricians, primary care physicians, school staff, and community health workers.  


Early Intervention in Psychosis: A Primer

This self-guided online course is designed for professionals in diverse settings who work with teens and young adults to learn about: the early warning signs of psychosis; appropriate early intervention treatment and supports; and strategies for successfully engaging youth in effective, recovery-oriented care. Developed by the National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors (NASMHPD).

 

Massachusetts Behavioral Health Access (MABHA)

The Massachusetts Behavioral Health Access (MABHA) website helps both providers and individuals locate openings in mental health and substance use disorder services. We welcome everyone to search for services that they can access directly from their community.

Psychosis Screening in Primary Care

PsychosisScreening.org was designed to support clinicians working in primary care settings to identify, assess, and refer young people who show warning signs of emerging mental illness.

 

The LEAP® (Listen-Empathize-Agree-Partner) Approach

LEAP® (Listen, Empathise, Agree, Partner) is an evidence-based communication approach to encourage a person with a serious mental illness to consider treatment. Trainings and videos on LEAP® are available on the Henry Amador Center for Anosognosia website.
