4th Annual Mass-STEP Conference - Scaling Up: Access & Equity for Psychosis

About the Conference

This two-day hybrid conference will explore progress and updates on the Massachusetts Strategic Plan for Early Psychosis (Mass-STEP). Our theme this year is Scaling Up: Access & Equity for Psychosis, and will explore strategies to expand the reach of high-quality psychosis services across Massachusetts. This effort includes partners from many different backgrounds, including individuals and families, government stakeholders, researchers, clinicians, teachers, faith leaders, emergency responders, and all others who are invested in improving our statewide system of care for psychosis.

SIPS Training with Barbara Walsh

Barbara C. Walsh, PhD has been a faculty member of PIER Training Institute since 2015.  Dr. Walsh is the Clinical Coordinator of the Prime Research Clinic at Yale University School of Medicine. She, in concert with Thomas H. McGlashen, designed, developed and tested the Structured Interview for Psychosis-Risk Syndromes (SIPS) that is the gold-standard for the early identification of prodromal symptoms. In addition to her on-going responsibilities at Yale, she has become the internationally recognized trainer in the use of this interviewing technique.
